Mid-Penn Conference teams sweep District 3 field hockey tournament

All three high school field hockey team winners at the Saturday District 3 championships were from the Mid-Penn Conference.

Class 1A Champions: Boiling Springs (22-0)

Boiling Springs defeated Oley Valley 3-1 for the gold. This is the Bubblers first District championship win.

Class 2A Champions: Palmyra (17-2-2)

Palmyra defeated Hershey 2-0. The last time these two Mid-Penn Conference teams competed in the final round was in 2020. The Cougars won that game, too.

Class 3A Champions: Lower Dauphin (18-3-1)

Lower Dauphin defeated Wilson 3-2 in overtime. It wouldn't be the championship without at least one team going into overtime. Wilson scored on a stroke at the end of regulation forcing the overtime period. The Falcons, however, had a solid passing combination that ended with juniors Avery Pollock and Katelyn Strawser. Strawser scored the game-winner.
